Since 2007, a criminal justice associate degree has become popular among people wanting to start a career in law enforcement, corrections or security.
It was around October of that year when most law enforcement agencies began requiring some college credits from their applicants. Now nearly half in this profession hold a criminal justice associate degree or even a bachelor's degree.
Getting ready for the job
An associate degree is perfect for entry-level jobs because it can be completed in two years or even less and, with the necessary training required for candidates, can already qualify you for work.
You can complete an associate degree program either online or by attending classes on campus. But with the cost of education often being restrictive, many are opting for distance learning.
